Easter Egg Hunt

We woke up this morning and realized (via Facebook) that our town was having an egg hunt at a local park. So, we ate a quick breakfast, got dressed and was at the park just before the hunt was to begin. We were surprised to see not very many people there to participate, but figured Savannah would enjoy this if for no other reason that to run around outside.

There was a man dressed as the Easter bunny and walking around to take pictures with the kids. Savannah wanted nothing to do with him! In fact, she was constantly looking around to make sure the "bunny" didn't get too close. And then for the remainder of the day, she continued to say "no bunny!" as she shook her finger 'no' and made a scowl on her face.

The egg hunt was divided into sections for different age groups. Savannah was in the group that went up to four year olds. There were easily 300 eggs scattered around on the baseball field for just her age group to "hunt". And I bet there wasn't more than 15 kids in this age group! Needless to say, she got plenty of candy-filled eggs and absolutely loved the "hunt".

She was so proud of all of her eggs and couldn't wait to open them to see the goodies inside (not that she is allowed to eat candy), but it was still exciting for her!
