Often, while I'm cooking or cleaning in the kitchen, Savannah will come and "keep me company" by sitting on the island. Tonight, I was trying to get her "special" gluten-free dinner made and she wanted to "help". Part of that meal included rice. She thought it would be fun scooping some rice out of the bag and then pouring it back in.
Yes, this turned into rice all over the counter (a clean counter) and a little on the floor, but it sure did keep her happy and occupied for at least 30 minutes. And she was very good at helping pick up every little grain of rice when I ended the fun.
Hopefully this is a sign that she'll enjoy cooking when she's older!
