Savannah's 3rd Birthday

This was the first year that Savannah knew it was her birthday and that it meant it was her special day. That made this day SO much more fun! And her birthday fell on a Saturday this year, so our whole family was together to celebrate our sweet little girl.

Savannah woke up to her doorway covered in pink streamers, 2.5 dozen pink balloons in her room and her parents singing 'Happy Birthday' to her.

 

She requested a 'pretty pink dress' to wear for her birthday. So, I delivered. Dora is her favorite character, pink is her favorite color and she sure is pretty!

Savannah requested eating noodles for lunch (aka, Olive Garden, where her Aunt Abby works). Abby was our waitress and managed to talk her manager into letting her give Savannah this 'celebration cake' for her birthday desert. Savannah got shy (hence the reason she is buried in Caleb's lay) when Abby came with the cake and a few co-workers to sing 'Happy Birthday' to her.

For dinner, we headed over to great grandma's house to celebrate with the Schilli family. Because it is also my brother's birthday. Yep, Savannah was born one day before her due date, on Taylor's 18th birthday.

 We had a fun night celebrating with family. The whole day was so special and fun and we look forward to celebrating with her friends {and family, again} at her swimming party next week.

On our way home, our neighbor {and new found baby-sitter}, Sam called to ask if she could come over to bring a little gift to Savannah. This is Savannah opening the gift (a little purse with Dora things inside) and Sam in the background watching. Savannah was being shy and wouldn't take a picture with Sam.
