Kittens

He did like petting the kitten.

This evening Caleb and I were outside playing with the kids when Savannah noticed that the neighbors kids a few house down were outside playing, too. She decided we need to go say 'hi' {I love that she likes visiting neighbors}. 

Caleb and I chatted with the parents while Savannah and Hudson played with the boys {Reggie - age 9 and Rhett - age 4.... their 7 year-old daughter wasn't home}. The boys told Savannah that one of their cats had just had kittens a few days ago. Savannah has never really been around cats because all of our family just have dogs. She usually likes animals from a distance, but isn't a fan to touching them...much less holding them.

But, she surprised me and wanted to hold a little kitten. And once she was holding the tiny kitten, she was so happy!

She held that kitten for the next 20 minutes until we told her it was time to go home.

Of course Hudson needed to get a hand on the kitten. We just had to make sure he was gentle because he likes to hit things lately. :/

He did like to pet the kitten though. And Savannah was proud getting to hold it.
