Caleb, Savannah and I took a little drive down to Glen Rose with my brother, Jason, and his wife, Joy, last weekend. We just spent one night there, but it was a nice little time away. Here are some pictures of our time there.
First, we went to see the dinosaur tracks. We had to walk on big rocks to cross a river over to where the tracks were.
Then we took a little "nature hike"
The next day, we went to an exotic wildlife park called Fossil Rim. You can view the website here. We drove our car nine miles through the 2,000 acres which was home to about 1,400 animals. We bought animal feed so that we would be able to get the animals close to our car. And boy did they ever get close! Some of them even stuck their heads in searching for food. Here are a few pictures from that adventure.
We topped off our trip with lunch at The Green Pickle and then dessert at a little pie shop called Pie Peddlers.
We had such a great trip! Savannah was a good little traveler and as always, we loved spending time with Jason and Joy! Looking forward to our next fun get-away.
