A Day at the Zoo

As soon as Savannah woke up this morning, I told her we were going to see animals today. She was so, SO excited! The weather was a little cool, but we made the drive to the Frank Buck Zoo with our friends Alyssa and Phin. None of us had ever been to this zoo (that I can remember) so we were excited to spend the day seeing the animals.

The zoo is much smaller than the Dallas or Ft. Worth zoo, but it was just the right size for our little munchkins. There were virtually no other people there today, so we were able to see all the animals without feeling rushed or crowded and we really enjoyed that! Also, because we didn't have to fight crowds, the kiddos were able to get out of the strollers to walk around a little.

We saw several other animals, enjoyed a picnic lunch and we ended the day with a ride on a little train. The four of us were the only ones on the train, but the kids sure did enjoy it! 

The whole day was so much fun and I'm sure we'll be going back again soon while the weather is nice.
