The Braddock Bunch: Disney {Magic} Cruise

Thankfully, the kids slept great and didn't make a peep until 8 a.m. Once we were all dressed, we headed down to the breakfast buffet. This morning was the first opportunity we would have to see the princesses at the "Princess Gathering" just after breakfast. The line was nearly an hour long, but it was well worth it!

Savannah was a little shy, but she got to meet Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, and Sleeping Beauty {Aurora}. She was in awe of each one of them! I think she was also in shock, that she was getting to meet the princesses.

Hudson had his picture taken just fine with Snow White, but after that he didn't want to have anything to do with the other princesses. Come to find out, I think he was just not happy that they kept coming to get his sister!

Belle was extra sweet to Savannah every time we saw her. Later in the week, Savannah got to do something special with her. More on that in post Day 4.

After meeting all the princesses, we went back to our room and changed into our swimsuits.

We quickly learned that children wearing swim diapers weren't allowed in the pools. There was a little splash zone off to the side of the pools for diaper-wearing kids. Hudson loved it and I guess didn't care that he couldn't go in the bigger pool.

Caleb took Savannah into the bigger pools while I watched Hudson play.

We ate lunch after swimming and Hudson could not get enough of the mac & cheese!

When we went back to the room to put Hudson down for his nap, the kids had received their first surprise in the FE!

Once Hudson was asleep, we decided to take Savannah to the "Oceaneer Club" {OC} to check it out. This was a very large gated area for ages 3-12 {must be potty trained} to go any time of the day for as long as they/you wanted. There was area for books and toys, a large stage and open floor {to play games on} and a huge jungle gym area. Plus, they did crafts and characters came in to read stories or play games. {Images found via Google search}

Each child had a wrist band put on them that had a device inside linked to their room info. Parents had to have their room key and a personal password in order to pick up their child. So when we got there, Savannah got her wrist band put on, walked through the little gate and never looked back! We were in complete shock. We even stuck around for about 5 minutes to see if she would start looking for us, but she didn't.

I've been a few cruises, but this was our first experience with the Disney line. And one neat thing they had that the other cruises didn't, were cell phones for each room. Our room had 2 cell phones that you could use to call or text other cruise cell phones, room phones, service desk, or anywhere on the ship really. Including the OC. This is how the OC would be able to contact us should Savannah have any problems while there. It was SO nice to have, knowing we could be reached at any time regarding our kiddos.

Since Savannah seems to be fine in the OC and Hudson was sound asleep in the room, Caleb and I spent a little time relaxing by the pool.

We only left Savannah in the OC for about 1.5 hours. When we picked her up, she said she loved it! She even made friends with a girl named Camden. I was so proud of my brave, friendly girl.

Hudson was still napping {we kept going into the room to check on him every 30 minutes or so}. We took Savannah to meet Daisy and by this point, she was finally getting really comfortable being around the characters.

Hudson napped for over three hours! I guess he was making up for no nap the day before. By the time he woke up, we just changed clothes and headed to dinner.

Tonight, we let Hudson stay up for the show after dinner because it was Cinderella: A Twist In Time. He loves watching the Cinderella movie and he was mesmerized by the show. He literally sat still on Caleb's lap for an hour! He would constantly tap Caleb and then point at the show. It was the cutest thing ever!
