Praying for Grandpa

Final update: My grandpa is home from the hospital. He did not have the infection that they were afraid he had. The doctors still aren't sure what caused this small heart attack.


My grandpa was put in the hospital for two days last week and he is there again this week. He is diabetic and last week his sugar got too low. This week, they think he might have had a mild heart attack. He is out of ICU, but will remain in the hospital for another day or two. Savannah is his first great-grandchild, so she is extra special to him.

UPDATE:
The doctors are fairly certain that my grandpa has a staff infection in his blood. Tomorrow, they are going to put a camera scope down his throat to look at his heart valves. Apparently, if it is a staff infection, it can damage the heart valves which can/will cause strokes and/or heart attacks. If he does in fact have this infection, he will be put on a special floor of the hospital for these types of patients. And, he will remain in the hospital for at least six weeks. Please continue to pray for him and my grandma, as well.
