Seven Weeks

Savannah is seven weeks old today. She and I went to lunch with my good friend (and college roommate), Sarah, and her 9 month-old girl, Aleea. It's so fun having good, close friends with babies! I didn't have my camera to take a picture at lunch, but here is a picture of the four of us when Sarah and Aleea came to visit a few days after Savannah was born.

The most recent new thing Savannah is doing is holding her own head up to look around. When she lays on her stomach (on my chest), she lifts her head a couple of inches, her eyes get real big and she just looks around. She also has a VERY strong grip. She grabs my hair constantly and my shirt. She is consistently sleeping 6-7 hours before waking up during the night to eat. Then, she'll sleep again for about 3-4 hours. She is such a happy baby and so much fun!
