One of Savannah's favorite things to do is play "tea party". She has several different tea sets that are always put into the same bucket, so she has a lot of pieces to play with when she has a tea party. She often dumps the whole bucket out and then sorts through it piece by piece. Sometimes she will include Caleb/me in the party and other times she just has a tea party with her baby doll. She's even been known to take her baby doll and tea party set into the bathroom to set up there while I take a shower.
When she includes Caleb and/or me, she will give us each a plate, cup and spoon. The usual food is rice, (which is very tasty) and of course tea in our little tea cup and is sure to tell us "hot" so we know to blow on it. She brings her little tea pot around to wherever we are sitting and to give up refills completed by her "pouring tea" sound effects.
Aside from getting her baby to say "good morning", getting out the tea party bucket is usually the first thing she does in the mornings. One morning, she even sat to play with it while I was cooking her eggs. She just sits on the kitchen counter taking out each piece of her tea set(s) and preparing a sweet little tea party for me first thing in the morning.
I love how well she is able to entertain herself and the cute little imagination she already has! And of course, her grandma should be very proud of her grand-daughter and her love for tea parties! After all, my mom planned and hosted multiple tea parties each year for me and my little friends for much of my childhood. I see this happening in Savannah near future, as well.
