Back on December 6th, the play group that Savannah and I have been doing things with for the past year or so had their second annual Christmas party. This time last year, Savannah and I had not been with this play group yet, so this was our first Christmas party with them.
One mom, Heather, hosted this big event at her house and she was brave for doing so! There were eleven moms, eleven toddlers and one newborn. Talk about a house FULL! The party was a cookie exchange for the moms and a board book exchange for the little ones. I made peanut butter balls to take and each mom also brought a side finger-food item to munch on during the morning. There were SO many cookies and we each got to take home half a dozen of each kind. That makes for a lot of cookies on my counter! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the food or cookies, but it was all great!

Of the eleven moms there, Jamie had just her second child (Riverson, the newborn in the group) and 5 others (including myself) are expecting our second child between December and the end of May. This play group will really be fun then!

The little ones played, the moms visited and we all ate lots of food and cookies! We attempted a line-up of all the babies in birth order for one large picture, but it way past nap time for most of them and just didn't work out. Savannah was being a real pill most of the morning, so she was most certainly NOT in the mood to sit for a picture, let alone with 11 other kids moving and crying around her. Oh well, it's just another funny story to tell.

It was such a fun time and we look forward to many more Christmas parties with this fun group of friends!
