... Errr, ICE day!
During the night, a serious winter storm blew into town leaving behind a lot of ice and not much snow. The temperature high for today was about 18 degrees with a wind chill below zero. It was very windy, as well. The news is reporting that this is the coldest weather we've had here in 15 years.
Tuesday is MDO each week, but needless to say, it was canceled. Caleb also closed the office today, so our little family was home together all day.
Thankfully, we all got to sleep until 9:00 this morning. Savannah ate her scrambled eggs for breakfast while Caleb and I had french toast (Savannah can't have that because of her gluten-free diet).
After breakfast, Caleb spent over an hour with Savannah in her playroom while I got a lot of much needed house cleaning done. I was able to clean out the guest bedroom closet, the hallway shelves, the kitchen (including cleaning out the refrigerator) AND all the laundry washed, dried and put away. Talk about feeling productive on this cold, gloomy day!
Savannah was in such a good mood all day. Able to entertain herself at times, watch a lot of Curious George and have quality mommy AND daddy time.

Caleb started a nice warm fire for us to enjoy, but wasn't too thrilled about not leaving the house ALL day long. The roads are suppose to be just as bad, if not worse, tomorrow and the schools in the area are already posting that they are closed tomorrow. So, it sounds like tomorrow will be a repeat of today. It's been nice to have a family day, but we need a little fresh air and change of scenery....soon!
