Who's There?

Whenever Savannah hears someone or something, but can't quite see, she stops everything to look around trying to figure out who is there or what the noise that she heard is coming from. Her head is constantly turning from side to side looking around. This is especially true when either Caleb or I are holding her, she can't turn her head fast enough to see whichever one of us is not holding her.
Since she's typically playing on the floor, it's hard for her to see around all the furniture and over counters (into the kitchen) when she wants to see us. This is funny and tiring at the same time. Funny because of the facial expressions she makes and tiring because she needs to see one of us just about all the time it feels like. Whenever one of us comes home from being gone (or just outside) or if someone is in the kitchen, she tries her hardest to see over the couch so that she can flash a big grin at you!
Anyway, when Caleb comes home during his lunch break or at the end of his work day, Savannah hears the door leading into the garage open. This is when she stops what she was doing and her little heads pops up, neck stretches out, eyebrows raise, jaw drops open and she waits. She waits to hear and see her daddy.
For once, I actually had the camera out and got some super cute pictures today that will give you just a glimpse of how excited she gets and how much she loves her daddy.

She hears the door open and her daddy say, "Savannah..." as she is sitting on the living room floor, unable to see over the couch in front of her.

And then she sees him! Her daddy is home!

He scoops her up, right away, and she gives him a BIG hug!

She is just SO happy her daddy is home and holding her!

Isn't that just the sweetest thing you've seen? And I get to watch this happen every day. This little girl has the best daddy in the world and we love him so, so much!
